CFEE The “Screen on the Green” FREE
Drive-In Movies 2008 Series Third Annual Series to be held on
the last Saturday in June July and August at Green Hill Park in
Roanoke County. Roanoke County Parks, Recreation & Tourism is
hosting the Free Drive in Movie Series along with media sponsors
K92 and The CW5. The continued growing popularity of this event
makes it a summertime favorite. The second movie for “Screen on
the Green” takes place on July 26th featuring “Transformers” and
to finish out the series the last film is “Harry Potter and the
Order of Phoenix” on August 30th. All the movies are held at
Green Hill Park beginning at dusk and are free to the public. The film will be shown on a giant
20’x 22’ inflatable screen sitting on the green with the sound
coming through your own car radio! With the use of a
transmitter, simply tune your car radio to 98.3 FM and it will
allow you to adjust your own volume! For those who prefer to
enjoy the film outside their cars, limited lawn seating will be
available. There will be concessions available serving your favorite movie snacks. The CW5 will be passing out free goodies to the kids. So come on out and park under the stars, sit back, relax, and enjoy the free movie with the entire family!
