The “Screen on the Green” FREE Drive-In Movies 2008 Series Third Annual Series to be held on the last Saturday in June July and August at Green Hill Park in Roanoke County. Roanoke County Parks, Recreation & Tourism is hosting the Free Drive in Movie Series along with media sponsors K92 and The CW5. The continued growing popularity of this event makes it a summertime favorite. The second movie for “Screen on the Green” takes place on July 26th featuring “Transformers” and to finish out the series the last film is “Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix” on August 30th. All the movies are held at Green Hill Park beginning at dusk and are free to the public.

The film will be shown on a giant 20’x 22’ inflatable screen sitting on the green with the sound coming through your own car radio! With the use of a transmitter, simply tune your car radio to 98.3 FM and it will allow you to adjust your own volume! For those who prefer to enjoy the film outside their cars, limited lawn seating will be available.

There will be concessions available serving your favorite movie snacks. The CW5 will be passing out free goodies to the kids. So come on out and park under the stars, sit back, relax, and enjoy the free movie with the entire family!
